Whitby, Ont. – The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents that Covanta, the operator of the Durham York Energy Centre (DYEC), has restarted boiler #2 after taking it off-line for annual maintenance which was advanced to repair a damaged water tube within the boiler. Boiler #1 was restarted after completing the annual scheduled maintenance.

Clarington March 20, 2017/- The Municipality of Clarington has worked out a detailed plan and will work with developer Halminen Homes to clean up the roads in the Liberty Crossings neighbourhood following a series of strong windstorms and dry conditions that spread dust from the development site at Concession Road 3 and Middle Road.

Clarington March 16, 2017/- The Municipality of Clarington has been responding to concerned residents in North Bowmanville after recent wind storms dispersed significant amounts of dust from the development site at Concession Road 3 and Middle Road. Clarington February 9, 2017/- Clarington Council is asking the Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) to fast-track planned improvements to the Waverley Road and Highway 401 interchange. The Municipality of Clarington is requesting that MTO includes the interchange improvements in its five-year plan, fourteen years ahead of schedule.
