The Municipality of Clarington, Community Service Department is looking for an energetic, active and knowledgeable staff person to provide leadership and supervision in a safe and enjoyable environment for our Summer Camp Programs. The Integration Supervisor will be responsible for integration and inclusion as well as the supervision of integration counsellors while working to schedule, organize, and implement daily program activities. Summer Camp employment is from May 25 to September 1, 2010. This position is a maximum of
24 hours per week. Qualifications
- Candidates must have 2 years of recreation program supervisory experience or equivalent experience. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with children and youth with disabilities/special needs and adaptive programming.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR “C” certification.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a training period prior to camp
- Strong customer service skills.
- High 5 certificate in Principles of Healthy Child Development.
- Valid “G” driver’s license and current automobile insurance
- Access to a reliable vehicle

Duties
- Supervision and organization of integrated camp activities, providing resources, knowledge, support and guidance to staff.
- Assist in conducting participant assessments
- Supervision of integration counselors and volunteers.
- Assist in the delivery of all mandatory training and meetings.
- Provide support, guidance and feedback to staff.
- Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Collect daily attendance records and make any necessary follow up calls.
- Other duties as assigned.

A satisfactory, current (within last 180 days), Criminal Records Check (“CPIC”) will be required at time of interview from a Canadian Police Information Centre.
Rate of Pay - $16.22/hr
