Facilities Division
- Responsible for the operation of all indoor municipal recreation
facilities:
- Bowmanville Indoor Soccer/Outdoor Lacrosse facility
- Clarington Fitness Centre (25 metre pool, 2 international
squash courts);
- Clarington Fitness Training Facility (located within
the Courtice Community Complex);
- Courtice Community Complex (25 metre leisure pool
with slide, community hall, meeting space);
- South Courtice Arena (1 NHL size ice pad and 1 Olympic size ice pad, meeting space and
small gymnasium).
- Darlington Sports Centre (1 ice pad); and,
- Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex (2 ice pads,
meeting space and large community (banquet) hall);
Facilities with community (banquet) halls also have
warm up kitchens and bartender services available.
Program Division
- The programs (aquatic, fitness and recreation) offered by
Community Services are outlined in the Community Recreation and Leisure Guide (which is published 4 times per year). Staff of
the Department also work in partnership with many community-based
organizations such as the Clarington
Youth Advisory Committee.
