The Alfie Shrubb 8K Classic route is a 4k out and a 4k back. This route is on the country roads of Green Rd. On the route you will pass 26 beautiful farms, the route starts off flat then rolls into the hills. You would call the Alfie a route that is rolling along with the farmland. The route is closed off to all traffic, only athletes will be on this route till the race is done.

Big Brothers & Sisters of Clarington

The CGHA has 14 representatives in seven age divisions including  Novice 'A', Atom 'AA'; Peewee 'A', Bantam 'A', Midget 'A', Intermediate and Senior.   As well there are over 24 house leagues teams from Novice to Midget/Intermediate levels. The CGHA competes in major Ontario tournaments, plays in the Lower Lakes Female Hockey League and is sanctioned by the Ontario Women's Hockey Association.
