If you are purchasing a new home speak with others who have purchased from the same builder. Ask them if they are satisfied with their home and with their experience with the builder. The research you do before you buy will allow you to make the type of informed choice that will protect you well into the future.
The Municipality strongly encourages prospective purchasers to visit or contact the Engineering Services Department and Planning Services Department staff prior to signing an Agreement of Purchase and Sale. Engineering Services staff can provide advice on certain lot features such as sloping, retaining walls, catch basins, drainage easements, noise barriers, drainage patterns, etc. Planning Staff can advise on restrictions regarding construction of future sheds, decks and pools as well as proposed surrounding land uses.
