A burned garage showing improperly stored propane tanks Clarington January 6, 2020/- Clarington Emergency and Fire Services Chief sounds the alarm against the improper storage of flammable materials such as propane tanks and gas cans in home garages. Fire Chief Gord Weir is concerned after two back-to-back fires on Sunday. In one case, the resident had propane tanks and a gas can dangerously close to the flames.

Smoke and fire damage to the garage and roof of a home near Concession Road 4 and Highway 115. Clarington December 17, 2019/- Clarington Emergency and Fire Services responded to a residential garage fire near Concession Road 4 and Highway 115 in Clarington Tuesday morning.
The call came in just after 6:30 a.m. and crews arrived on scene to find the garage engulfed in flames, with smoke spreading into the house. The family of four and their pets were lucky to escape the house unharmed as there were no working smoke alarms.
