Clarington March 4, 2019 – The Municipality of Clarington has received $125,000 from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ (FCM) climate change staff grant program to help formulate a plan that responds to climate change and reduces its effect on the community. Clarington February 27, 2019/- Clarington Council passed the 2019 Municipal Budget on Monday night. Residents will see a 2.2 per cent increase on the local portion of their taxes, which translates to $31.11 per household on a home with an average assessed value of $367,632.

Clarington February 4, 2019/- Clarington Emergency and Fire Services were called out to a fire on Jones Avenue in Newtonville just after 7 a.m. today. Fire crews were able to gain control of the basement fire quickly. Clarington’s Fire Prevention Division is investigating the cause of the fire.
