Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Sunday, July 15 and Monday, July 16. Daytime temperatures are expected in the low 30s with humidex values reaching 40 C.
Stay cool and well hydrated, seek shade when possible. Please check in and look after the most vulnerable residents including the elderly, and those who are chronically ill. Never leave people or pets in the car.

Update # 22 Cedar Crest Beach Flooding Issued: June 1, 2017 Time: 3:45 p.m.
Clarington/- Clarington Operations crews have been assessing West Beach Road to ensure its integrity; additional gravel has been added to minimize flooding effects. Operations staff are continuing to open the marsh outfall to make sure marsh levels are kept as low as possible.
