Inclusion and camp integration

We welcome all children at our summer camp programs. Please connect with our Inclusion Services staff at 905-435-1061 ext. 2563 or emittag@clarington.net before you register if you require support or accommodation for your child due to a special need.

Extra support at camp is generally required according to the following criteria:

  • a physical, developmental or learning disability that may affect mobility, communication, comprehension or interaction.
  • extra support or assistance is required at home for basic care such as dressing or toileting.
  • extra support is required at school.

Please ensure that you call Inclusion Services before registering if your child requires additional staff support. This will enable your child to have a positive and supported time at camp. A minimum of four weeks' notice is requested to allow adequate time to assess and arrange for program support.

To facilitate a successful experience for your child, parents/guardians will be required to complete an "All About Me" package before the start of camp. Program available to Clarington residents only.

Families not disclosing the needs of a participant before registration may be required to withdraw from the program. Clarington's refund policy will apply.
