Aquafit is an in-water fitness class designed to strengthen your muscles and improve your cardiovascular fitness. Working out in water adds resistance to your muscles without the impact land activities can have. It is also a great cross-training opportunity for those looking for something new. We have classes for swimmers and non-swimmers alike.

Aquafit class descriptions

Aquafit - General

An excellent fitness-in-water class for all age groups of swimmers and non-swimmers. An instructor will lead you through a series of exercises for flexibility, muscular strength, cardiovascular health and stretching. Exercise in water relieves stress on joints and provides a more effective workout as you work against the resistance of the water.

Deep Water Aquafit

Deep Water Aquafit is held in deep water using flotation belts for added support. This class eliminates impact on your joints and is ideal for developing core strength, balance, stamina and enhancing cross-training. It is suitable for all fitness levels, and we encourage participants to work at their own pace.

Aquafit 55+

You will be lead through a series of exercises for flexibility, muscular strength, cardiovascular health and stretching, for a well-rounded water workout. This class gives you the chance to exercise in the shallow or deep ends. Participants must be aged 55 or older to register.

Shallow Water Aquafit

Workouts will focus on cardio training, strengthening, stretching and toning in shallow or chest-deep water. Participants will use a variety of equipment to enhance the program and encourage increased stamina. This program is suitable for all fitness levels and swimming abilities.
