Clarington Walks

As a result of the Provincewide Shutdown, the Municipality of Clarington is closing its recreation facilities and postponing our winter programs for at least 28 days beginning Saturday, December 26, 2020. We will continue to monitor updates from the Province and re-evaluate when programs can resume following all Provincial guidelines. Registration for winter programs will continue throughout the shutdown. Learn more

Be active year round

To help stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep you safe, we have implemented the following changes:

  • Walking will be allowed during designated times in the gymnasium at the Diane Hamre Recreation Complex. Walking in the hall and corridors of facilities is not allowed.
  • Pre-register online or by phone is required before coming to the facility. Participants will undergo a screening process when they arrive.
  • Masks need to be worn until you start walking in the program space. Participants need to ensure they are at least three metres from others while walking. Capacity limits will be enforced to help meet physical distancing requirements.
