We strive to provide affordable recreation programs for our residents. To make sure everyone has access to recreation, we offer financial assistance programs. This is offered for select programs and services based on eligibility criteria.
The Fee Assistance Program provides a $300 credit per person toward Community Services registered activities, memberships or 10-ticket passes.

The credit is valid for one calendar year from the date the application is approved. The credit is non-transferable and cannot be carried over to the next application year. Fee assistance does not include any extra costs of materials or supplies for programs. All family members who live in the household must be listed on the application. |

All supporting documents must be from the current tax year. Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program must be from the current month. The goal of this program is to increase recreation opportunities for individuals with permanent disabilities by providing a reduced fee for fitness facility memberships.

The Canadian Tire Jumpstart program assists children living in Clarington, four to 18 years of age the opportunity to participate in sports and active recreational activities. Complete the application online, or contact any of our recreation facilities for more information.
The Community Services Department along with Durham Region Social Services offer Clarington residents, who are participants in the Ontario Works program, the opportunity to participate in recreation activities. To determine if you are eligible, contact the Region of Durham Social Services Department, at 905-428-8982.

Their Opportunity is a Durham Region organization that offers assistance to low-income families looking to enrol children in organized sports and recreation activities.
