Clarington has contracted the Clarington Board of Trade (CBOT) to perform economic development in the Municipality. We work closely with the CBOT to promote and support our business community and create more opportunities for trade and commerce in Clarington. We are a growing and thriving Municipality that is open for business.
With easy access to Highway 401, Highway 35/115 and the future extension of Highway 407, Clarington is well connected to both the Greater Toronto Area and eastern Ontario. This convenient access to customers, suppliers and a skilled labour force means Clarington is a great place to build your business.
A ski hill, waterpark, Lake Ontario marina, farmer's markets and our international raceway, all make Clarington a great place to have fun.
Clarington offers a number of financial incentives to encourage business growth within our community, including Community Improvement Grants and credits for several Development Charges.
We are committed to on-going business growth in our traditional downtowns and to environmentally friendly design in our industrial parks.
