We issue requests for proposals in specific situations where a product or service cannot be adequately specified. This usually applies to highly technical products or specialty services.
The Municipality of Clarington is a member of the Durham Purchasing Co-operative. The Co-operative consists of various public sector organizations in Durham Region and was formed to call tenders on a collective basis. Many agencies use the same goods and services and, therefore consolidating requirements and conducting a single tender can save time and effort.
