Soper Creek Subwatershed Study

Background

The Soper Creek originates on the Oak Ridges Moraine and has a drainage area of approximately 7730 ha (77 km2). The Soper Creek flows southeast across the northern part of Bowmanville and continues southerly along the eastern limits of the Bowmanville Urban Area. There are four subwatersheds within the Soper Creek drainage basin being Mackie, Soper North, Soper East and Soper Main. This subwatershed Study will focus on the Soper Creek subwatershed.

Watershed study

The Municipality of Clarington has released a request for proposal for the Soper Creek Subwatershed Study. The Subwatershed Study will provide detailed technical recommendations that can be implemented through the Secondary Plan.
