Courtice Main Street Community Improvement Plan

A Community Improvement Plan for Courtice was developed and approved in 2016. The Courtice CIP encompasses lands along Highway 2 (King Street) from Townline Road to Courtice Road. This area is a Regional Corridor and was identified in the Official Plan as a priority for the development of a Community Improvement Plan.

The purpose of the Courtice Main Street Community Improvement Plan (CIP) is:

  1. To build upon the direction set out in the land use policies and urban design guidelines of the Official Plan for mixed-use urbanization of the regional corridor.
  2. To enable the Municipality to respond to increased development interest and community growth in Courtice by establishing a framework of financial incentives to promote property consolidations, redevelopment and intensification along the Highway 2 corridor.
  3. To develop an implementation plan for the Black Creek Trail.

To obtain financial incentives as detailed in the CIP, a case study outlining how the proposed development meets the performance standards will be required.
