Proposed development

Will & Nancy Vanniejenhuis have submitted a Zoning By-law Amendment application to facilitate the creation of 3 new lots in Newtonville.

The property is within the hamlet of Newtonville and is located just south of Regional Highway 2. The applicant is requesting a rezoning from Agriculture to Residential Hamlet and Environmental Protection, in order to proceed with a land severance application to create 3 new lots and one retained lot, for a total of 4 lots. The lots are proposed on the northern portion of the property, outside the designated Environmental Protection areas and the Green Space areas.

If the rezoning is approved, land severance applications will be required for the creation of the lots.

Public Meetings

The Municipality is seeking public comments before making a decision on the application to amend the Zoning By-law. A Public Meeting is scheduled for December 2, 2019 at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Administrative Centre, located at 40 Temperance Street, Bowmanville.
