Millstream Lane Improvements

The Municipality of Clarington is proposing improvements to Millstream Lane, and we are circulating the plans for public review prior to proceeding.

The proposed work includes:

  • Replacement of the road surface with new asphalt
  • Removal of the post and wire fence and widening of the travel lanes
  • Construction of a concrete sidewalk with grass boulevard except at the approach to King Lane where we propose a barrier curb with sidewalk behind the curb
  • Removal and replacement of the cedar hedge at King Lane with a new hedge at the property line to improve sight lines
  • Widening of the intersection at King Lane and Millstream Lane to accommodate bus turning movements
  • Flexible bollards at the General Store to prevent vehicles from parking at the intersection and to improve sight lines

In addition to the proposed work described above, the Municipality plans to request funds in the 2019 budget for pedestrian safety improvements on King Lane between Taunton Road and Millstream Lane.
