Contact(s)

The Clarington Animal Shelter is always looking for new volunteers. We provide shelter and care to approximately 500 animals every year. Our volunteers are an invaluable part of our team; they help us take care of the animals and improve their quality of life.

At the Clarington Animal Shelter volunteers learn new skills, form new relationships, and have the ability to:

  • Foster an animal that has special needs. Many kittens are born and brought into the shelter. Kittens are more susceptible to disease, and their life expectancy is lengthened when in a home environment.
  • Take a dog for a walk. What dog wouldn't love to walk around all day?
  • Socialize a cat or dog. Many animals brought into our care have had little or poor interactions with people or other pets. By interacting with these animals, volunteers help increase their chances of finding a home.
