Clarington is brimming with fresh, locally grown produce as the harvest season is in full swing. From veggies to local peaches, plums and of course our signature – apples. Clarington's popular apple orchards have opened their gates. From pick-your-own to convenient pickup options, our local farms offer some of the best outdoor, physically distanced fall fun. Enjoy the fresh air, fill up your basket with local produce and make memories as you travel through our countryside to celebrate the best of the season.

Algoma Orchards and Gourmet Market
Shop the gourmet market for freshly baked treats and locally grown apples. Don't miss their freshly made apple juice and cider – it's delicious. Get some lunch in the deli, or take your apple treats to go.

Allin's Orchards
Just outside of Newcastle, Allin's Orchards is open for the 2020 season. This family-run orchard produces 26 varieties of apples along with a bounty of other fruits and vegetables, even local peaches. You can't leave without trying one of their famous candy apples.

Archibald's Orchards & Estate Winery
A quick drive north of Bowmanville, Archibald Orchards opens for pick-your-own apples on September 12. Shop their store for baked apple treats, locally made fruit wine and cider. You can also enjoy some of the best country views around.

Picking apples

Clarington Farmers' Market
This traditional farmers' market operates every Sunday, May through October, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Newcastle Arena parking lot. With new safety measures in place, enjoy the "biggest little farmers' market in Durham Region."

Courtice Flea Market
Spend a perfect fall day at one of the few remaining authentic flea markets in Ontario. Sundays feature their popular Farmers' Market with the freshest apples, pumpkins, and more. Find more on new safety protocols on their website.

Maple Grove Orchards
Maple Grove Orchards is Clarington's newest pick-your-own orchard. With your favourite apple varieties available, the farm also offers pre-order and pick up for your safety and convenience.

Pingle's Farm Market
A perfect stop for family fun, 'Fall Fest' weekends return to the Market this autumn. Get lost in the iconic corn maze, hop on a tractor ride, and pick-your-own fresh apples. In the Market, shop freshly baked goods, locally grown fruits and vegetables, and 100 per cent Canadian-sourced grocery items.

Price's Country Market
As you travel Highway 2 toward Newcastle, you'll find more than just bushels of apples at this farm market. Price's Market is a family business, serving fresh fruits, vegetables, free-range eggs, honey, and all your garden needs this fall. Don't forget a sweet treat, too.

Watson Farms
A favourite in Bowmanville, Watson's Pick-Your-Own is now open seven days a week. Hop on the tractor, pick some fresh apples, and enjoy kids' activities.
