Brimacombe
One of Durham Region’s best skiing and snowboarding destinations is in Clarington. Located in Orono, Brimacombe has over 20 trails with a range of options for both beginners and seasoned skiers. It has two terrain parks, perfect for the snowboarder who wants to jib all day long. They also offer adaptive snow sports, two chalets with delicious food and more.

Canadian Tire Motorsport Park
Clarington is home to Canada’s leading racing and automotive performance facility. Canadian Tire Motorsports Park has three professional grade racetracks, including the world-renowned Grand Prix Circuit. They’ve hosted international series like Formula 5000, IMSA, Indy Car and World SportsCar Championship. Joey’s World Indoor Playground
Discover indoor fun and adventure in Bowmanville at Joey’s World Indoor Playground. View work by local artists at A Gift of Art in Newcastle. When you’re done touring their gallery space, check out the unique gifts in their gift shop. The gallery offers classes that cater to kids and teens as well as camps throughout the summer, march break and holidays. 

Clarington Museums
Step back in time and discover Clarington’s heritage. The Clarington Museums and Archives collects, preserves and presents locally significant artifacts through exhibitions, programming and events. Stop by to see the latest exhibits, and check out their free family-friendly activities, like the annual Teddy Bear Picnic in June.

Cedar Park Resort
If splashing and sliding down waterslides is on your summer bucket list, Cedar Park Resort is the place to goStop by for the day to enjoy their splash padspools and slides. Courtice Flea Market
Listed as one of the top spots to visit while in Clarington by blogTOThe Courtice Flea Market is a great place to go on a treasure hunt for collectibles and retro finds. Open year-round on weekends; the market offers over 70 vendors, great food and baked goods, events and more. From May to October, be sure to check out the newly renovated Big Red Barn, which features local artisans and handmade goods.
