Are you interested in becoming a volunteer firefighter with Clarington Emergency & Fire Services?
Fill out the volunteer firefighter application and drop it off at Fire Station 1 in Bowmanville.
Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a resident of Clarington, living within 5 kilometres of the fire hall
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a Grade 12/High School Diploma
- Standard First Aid / CPR
- Possess a D-Z Licence
- Provide a copy of a recent, clean Criminal Background Check and clean Driver's Abstract once requested by Emergency and Fire Services
Candidates who progress beyond the initial interview process, will be required to successfully complete the York University Physical Fitness/Stress Test and Swim Test at their own expense.
