Clarington's Fire Chief and Director of Emergency and Fire Services is Dave Speed.

Clarington Emergency and Fire Services provide professional and highly trained emergency response, education and fire prevention services to all residents. Clarington has a composite department made up of full-time and volunteer or part-time firefighters.

Along with emergency response, the department performs a variety of tasks to ensure public safety including fire prevention inspections , issuing permits and public education programs . Clarington Emergency and Fire Services is dedicated to protecting and educating the community about safety.
