Its the Law

Community safety is our number one concern, that priority is reflected in legislation.

Since 2006, it is the law to install smoke alarms on every level of your home and outside sleeping areas.

In 2015, Ontario took another step towards keeping families safe by making carbon monoxide alarms mandatory in all residential homes.

Many Police Officers, Paramedics and Firefighters have been killed because of preventable roadside collisions. "Move Over" laws provide for the safety of emergency services personnel on our roadways.

There are also Municipal by-laws that regulate in-home apartments and open air burning.
