A tax certificate is a legal document typically purchased by lawyers or financial institutions that shows the annual taxes and any current or prior year arrears on a given property.
Tax certificates are available for a fee of $65 and are processed weekly. Rush tax certificates are available for $75 and are processed within 24 to 48 hours.
Staff cannot provide verbal information for new tax certificate requests. You can request a rush tax certificate for $75, which can be issued within 24 to 48 hours. Verbal updates will only be provided for printed tax certificates up to 90 days from the date the tax certificate was issued. If you require additional information after 90 days, you must purchase a new tax certificate.
