Fitness and Memberships

Membership includes access to recreational skating, swimming, whirlpools, saunas and walking on the track in the new multi-sports dome at Bowmanville Community Complex during operating hours at various municipal recreation facilities.

The following table displays our rates for the Swim, Skate and Walk Membership. Prices do not include tax.

Group Membership Rates: Get a group discount of 20 per cent if three or more family members live in the same household. Proof of address required. Discount eligible at time of sale only; all family members must sign up at the same time. Cannot combine in combination with the Student Discount

Membership includes group fitness classes at all municipal recreation facilities as found on the group fitness schedule. This membership does not include access to the Members' change rooms at Courtice Community Complex.

Teens aged 13 to 17 years can access the Fitness Training Centre with parental permission. A parent or guardian will need to be present at the time of purchase to sign a waiver.

If you're not ready to sign up for a membership, you can still visit the Fitness Training Centre by purchasing a day pass for $11.08 for an adult or $5.54 for a senior or youth. We also offer 10-visit passes for $99.70 for adults and $49.85 for seniors or youth. 

Memberships may be cancelled at any time. A cancellation/withdrawal fee ($10 + HST) applies to all cancellations. No need for a medical note or other documentation. This does not include 10-ticket passes. Since you can cancel any time you want, we’ve eliminated holds for vacation and medical reasons. Simply fill out the cancellation form and re-join when you’re ready.

Lockers in our facility change rooms are free of charge for day use only, but can be rented for 12-month periods for $84.79 annually. Stop by a Customer Service Desk at any recreational facility for more information.

Please ensure the safety and security of your belongings by removing your items after day use or rental term.

We offer affordable payment plan options. Pay monthly and spread your payments equally over 12 months. No extra fees.

All memberships are non-transferable (except 10-visit passes).

Work with a qualified InBody Specialist and Personal Trainer to interpret your results, set your goals, and track your progress.

2. Review the results with a qualified InBody Specialist.
3. Work with a personal trainer to achieve your goals.
4. Sign up for a session with one of our nutrition counsellors to get even more support.
5. Scan again to track your progress and celebrate your success!

Non-members must also pay the daily admission fee to gain entrance to the Fitness Training Centre.

Nutrition counselling encompasses various services surrounding dietary patterns and behaviours. Whether you need a complete dietary assessment, want to fine ­tune your food choices, or get inspiration for new recipes to fit your and your family’s needs, everyone can benefit from nutrition counselling.

Feel confident starting your workouts at the Courtice Fitness Training Centre. Our 30-minute equipment orientation will cover a general overview of the fitness facility, proper form and technique while using select pieces of cardio and strength equipment, and gym etiquette. Ask questions of our qualified Fitness Floor Supervisors to ensure you are utilizing your membership to its fullest potential.

Canada's 24- Hour Movement Guidelines have replaced Canada's Physical Activity Guidelines. The new guidelines were introduced in 2020 and depict the amount of time various age groups should "Sweat, Step, Sleep and Sit" in a 24-hour period.
