Adoption success stories

Just one week after being adopted, Daisy was thriving in her new home. Her family describes her as “the sweetest, most loving, and obedient dog," adding that they feel they’ve “won the lottery” by welcoming her into their lives.

Daisy’s energy and playful personality have made her an instant fit. She has quickly settled into a daily routine that includes three walks a day and plenty of outdoor playtime.

Stories like Daisy’s highlight how quickly shelter animals can adapt and become loved members of the family. Animal Services is thrilled to see her doing so well and wishes Daisy and her new family many happy years together!

Kali (formerly Marge)

Just over a week after adoption, Kali (formerly Marge) settled in beautifully with her new family. Described as a “gentle giant,” she has quickly shown her sweet and affectionate nature, winning over everyone in her new home.

Kali is adjusting well to her surroundings and has already started learning new commands. She’s close to mastering “sit,” and her family is confident she’ll perfect it in no time.

Her loving personality has made her an easy fit, and her adopters say they already love her beyond measure. They’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to give Kali a home and enjoy every moment with her.

Animal Services is thrilled to hear how well Kali is doing and wishes her and her new family many happy years ahead!

Oliver adjusted quickly to life in his new home and family. In just a short time, he has settled into his surroundings and is enjoying plenty of love, attention, and comfort.

His family says he has found all the best cozy spots around the house and is quickly getting into a routine that includes playtime with his family and lots of companionship. As he continues to adjust, Oliver is showing more of his personality each day. His adopters shared that he has even started joining them on the bed, a special milestone that shows just how comfortable he’s becoming in his new home.

Oliver’s family is grateful for the care he received before adoption and already can’t imagine life without him.

Otis

Otis is living his best life, and his family couldn’t be more grateful. Nearly a year after adoption, they say the support and care they received from Animal Services made all the difference. From the very first interaction, staff provided honest, detailed information about Otis, including a mild neurological condition, helping ensure the right match.

The transition came with some challenges. Having spent much of his early life in the shelter, Otis needed time to decompress and adjust. Throughout it all, shelter staff remained a constant source of support, checking in regularly and offering guidance every step of the way.

With patience and encouragement, Otis has flourished. Today, he is a loving, loyal companion who brings endless joy to his family.

Otis sends a big hello to the team who cared for him and thanks for helping him find his forever home.
