GHD has notified the Municipality of Clarington about upcoming work to install a sanitary sewer for the Timber Trails subdivision in Bowmanville. This work will impact the Soper Creek Trail at Mearns Park, which will be closed to public access during the July 15 – September 15, 2024 construction period.
Mearns Park will remain open, and a pedestrian detour route with identified signage will be placed in designated areas.

With the Canada Day long weekend ahead of us, Clarington Emergency and Fire Services want to remind residents about fireworks and sparkler safety. If you choose to have a private fireworks display, please be considerate of your neighbours when discharging fireworks.
In Clarington, By-law No. 2015-047 regulates the discharge and sale of fireworks and states that residents can only discharge fireworks between dusk and 11 p.m. on the three days immediately before and including Canada Day.

Clarington, Ontario – Jenae Heron-Kelly, a Grade 12 student at St. Stephen Catholic Secondary School in Bowmanville, is the inaugural recipient of the Municipality of Clarington’s Diversity Leadership Bursary.

Clarington, Ontario – Clarington has received a Seniors Community Grant from the Province of Ontario’s Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility.
