Clarington, Ontario – More than a thousand residents joined Mayor Adrian Foster and members of Council on June 1 to celebrate the official opening of Newcastle Community Park, located on the west side of the Diane Hamre Recreation Complex. The Orono Arena is getting some upgrades this summer! Construction is underway to complete necessary upgrades that will extend the arena’s lifespan by another 15 years. The $3M renovation project includes replacing the refrigerated floor under the ice pad, upgrading the changing rooms and shower areas, and replacing the rubber flooring throughout the arena. The ice pad will also see new rink boards and a heated penalty box.

Clarington, Ontario – As municipalities across Ontario are being rewarded with funding for achieving their housing targets, Clarington has been denied its share.
