Multiple roads to close in downtown Bowmanville for Moonlight Magic

The following roads will close on December 5, 2025, from 4 to 10 p.m. for Bowmanville’s Moonlight Magic event: 

• King Street West, between Scugog Street and George Street. 
• Division Street, between 33 Division Street and 11 Division Street. 
• Temperance Street, between King Street West and 11 Temperance Street. 
• To accommodate parking in the Silver Street parking lot, Silver Street between King Street and Church Street will convert from one-way to two-way traffic.

Road Closure: Prospect Street bridge closed until further notice

Please be advised that Prospect Street, between Concession Street West and O’Dell Street in Bowmanville, is closed until further notice due to damage to the bridge deck.

There is no access at the bridge. Drivers and pedestrians are asked to use alternate routes.

Construction Notice: Permanent speed bumps to be installed on Simpson Avenue in Bowmanville

Construction notice: 2025 sidewalk repair project

Work is underway to repair cracked, uneven and damaged sidewalks and curbs across Clarington as part of our annual sidewalk maintenance program. The work is expected to be completed by October 2025.

Road closure on Liberty Street North in Bowmanville

Whitby, Ontario – The Region of Durham is advising residents of an upcoming road closure on Liberty Street North (Regional Road 14) in Bowmanville.

When: April 28 to July 30. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Where: Liberty Street North, from Pamela Court to Sydel Court, in the community of Bowmanville in the Municipality of Clarington.
