Several roads to close for Moonlight Magic and Christmas Market event

The following roads will close on December 1 from 4 to 10 p.m. for Bowmanville’s Moonlight Magic and Christmas Market event: 

• King Street West, between Scugog Street and George Street. 
• Division Street, between 33 Division Street and 11 Division Street. 
• Temperance Street, between King Street West and 11 Temperance Street. 

Note: Temperance Street will close between King Street and Church Street from November 30 at 6 p.m. to December 1 at 4 p.m. to allow for event set-up.

Several roads to close on December 6 for T.H.E.E. Farmers Parade of Lights

The following roads will close on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. for the T.H.E.E. Farmers Parade of Lights:

• Old Scugog Road, from Concession Road 9 to Concession Road 7
• Concession Road 7, from Old Scugog Road to Tyrone Community Centre

Emergency access will be available during the closure.

Multiple roads to close for Orono Santa Claus Parade

The following roads in Orono will be closed on Saturday, November 25 from 10 a.m. to noon for the Orono Santa Claus Parade:

• Mill Lane to Mill Street
• Mill Street to Main Street
• Main Street to Station Street
• Station Street to Princess Street
• Princess Street to Orono Fair Grounds

Please use alternate local roads. Emergency access will be available.

Road Closures in Bowmanville Cemetery

Clarington, Ontario – The Municipality of Clarington advises residents of upcoming road closures in Bowmanville Cemetery.

Where: Bowmanville Cemetery, 1330 Haines Street, Bowmanville.

When: October 16, 2023, to the second week of November 2023. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule.

Why: The road closures are part of ongoing maintenance of the cemetery.

Fall Road Rehabilitation Projects in Clarington

The Municipality of Clarington will be doing maintenance and improvements on various roads throughout October and November.

Work includes asphalt repairs and paving, as well as curb and sidewalk maintenance. Short-term closures and lane restrictions will be required to safely complete the work.

The following roads are scheduled for rehabilitation:

• Varcoe Road – Highway 2 to Nash Road
