Applefest celebrates fall and all things apple! Join in the festivities in Historic Downtown Bowmanville from Saturday, October 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
King Street will be closed from Friday, October 17, 2025, at 6 p.m., to Saturday, October 18, 2025, at approximately 7 p.m., from Scugog Street to George Street, and will also include parts of Division Street, Silver Street, and Temperance Street. Detours are available via alternate local roads.
Park for free in one of our downtown parking lots.

Please be advised that Prospect Street, between Concession Street West and O’Dell Street in Bowmanville, is closed until further notice due to damage to the bridge deck.
There is no access at the bridge. Drivers and pedestrians are asked to use alternate routes.

Work is underway to repair cracked, uneven and damaged sidewalks and curbs across Clarington as part of our annual sidewalk maintenance program. The work is expected to be completed by October 2025.
This important work involves lifting or removing and replacing over 540 sidewalk bays (individual sidewalk sections) and short lengths of curb.

Please be advised that beginning in the fall of 2025, D. Crupi & Sons Limited will begin the rehabilitation of various roadways across Clarington.
The rehabilitation works will include the removal and replacement of surface asphalt and base asphalt (where applicable), the removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks and curbs, asphalt paving, traffic line painting, the reinstatement of roadway shoulders (where applicable), ditching, and associated restoration works.
