Winter Storm Update, January 26 - 5 p.m.
Snow-clearing and clean-up operations continued throughout Clarington today. Most roads are now in good shape; however, there are a few areas in Bowmanville that have not yet been plowed and may be delayed until tomorrow morning to allow our plow operators to have a mandatory eight-hour rest period. Staff are aware of which roads remain unplowed, and we thank residents for their patience as we work to complete snow-clearing operations as quickly as possible.

Winter storm update #10 – December 28, 12:15 p.m.
Following a review of the upcoming weather forecast and the current condition of roads, the Municipality of Clarington is declaring an end to the significant weather event.
The declaration of a significant weather event was made on Saturday, December 24, 2022, as defined within the Minimum Maintenance Standards for Municipal Highways to allow municipalities extra time to clear the roads.

Clarington, Ontario - December 16, 6:30 p.m. update - Storm clean-up is still underway in Clarington. Most urban areas are now in very good condition, while rural areas are still being cleared due to the amount of snow received and downed power lines and trees.
Sidewalk snow clearing and seniors snow removal service is still underway and expected to be finished tonight.
Overnight, a small number of snowplow operators will be on patrol and continue slushing roads off and responding...

Update: Crews are currently out plowing snow in the rural Clarington areas, north of Taunton Road and east of Newcastle. All other urban areas in Courtice, Bowmanville and Newcastle are presently being salted, with plowing set to begin as the snow accumulates on the roads.
