Updating flood plain mapping for Graham and Wilmot Creeks to prevent flood risk

Clarington, Ontario –  The Municipality of Clarington is partnering with the Ganaraska Region Conservation Authority (GRCA) to update flood plain mapping for the Graham and Wilmot Creek watersheds. The current mapping is nearly 45 years old and needs to be updated to provide the latest data to assist with emergency preparedness planning, including flood prevention and mitigation.

Clarington, Ontario –  The Municipality of Clarington is reopening its outdoor spaces for public use following all Provincial direction. CEFS helping homeowners after Newtonville fire destroys home

Clarington, Ontario –  Clarington Emergency and Fire Services (CEFS) are helping homeowners pick up the pieces after an accidental fire destroyed their home on Sunday afternoon in Newtonville. The homeowners were able to escape safely but lost everything in the fire. CEFS has asked the Red Cross to assist.
