Clarington recreation facilities to close during Provincewide Shutdown

At a press conference Monday afternoon, Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced that Ontario will enter into a Provincewide Shutdown at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020. The Ontario Government is urging everyone to stay at home as much as possible to minimize transmission of COVID-19 and prevent hospitals from becoming overwhelmed. Residents will now be able to register on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at 7 a.m. for all recreation, fitness and swimming lessons. Clarington to build fence at end of Longworth Avenue to prevent trespassing on Municipal property

Clarington November 10, 2020/- To protect public safety, the Municipality is building a 1.8 metre or six-foot fence along the eastern end of Longworth Avenue. In addition, a five-metre long fence will be installed on the south side of Longworth Avenue, and a four-metre gate system will also be built at the eastern end attached to the longer section of fence to allow Municipal staff access to the property for ongoing maintenance.
