Farewell Creek Trail extension under construction. Keep out.

Residents must keep out of the construction area marked by fencing on Farewell Creek Trail. For your safety and the safety of the workers, trail users must respect the fenced limits of the construction area. We have noticed an increase in the number of people removing the barriers and accessing the area. This is very dangerous. Construction machinery, open excavations, material stockpiles, and rough terrain are all safety hazards to trail users and may cause injury or harm.

Waze technology allows residents to view line painting operations in real-time

Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to advise residents that roadway line painting is now underway. Drivers are asked to exercise caution when approaching these vehicles. Before heading out on the road, residents can also follow line painting operations using Waze—a live traffic and navigation app.

When: Weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., or overnight, and occasional weekends until October.

Clarington November 10, 2020/- To protect public safety, the Municipality is building a 1.8 metre or six-foot fence along the eastern end of Longworth Avenue.
