This October, Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster and Council invite the community to the Mayor and Council Fall Forums, two new events where people can connect with Council and learn about local news directly from their elected representatives.
“Things have been moving fast around Clarington lately, and these forums are the perfect chance for folks to catch up on what’s going on in their own neighbourhoods,” said Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster.
There will be two Fall Forums, one in west Clarington for Wards 1 and 2, and another in east Clarington for Wards 3 and 4.
These forums give residents a chance to hear the latest ward updates directly from their councillors and the mayor. Mayor and Council will take a moment to honour some outstanding community members for their positive contributions to the community with the Mayor’s Office Challenge Coin. Afterward, guests are invited to enjoy light refreshments and a friendly chat to get to know their Council team.
These events grew from the extensive community input gathered as part of Clarington’s 2024-27 Strategic Plan. This is just one way Clarington is creating more opportunities for residents to connect with Council, share their ideas and get involved in community life.
“We’re hoping everyone comes out to catch up on what’s new around Clarington, get to know their Council, and join in the fun of celebrating some of the people who make Clarington such an awesome place to call home,” said Mayor Foster.
