Join us in honouring the sacrifices and achievements of the local men and women who served in Canada’s military in times of war, military conflict and peace and those who have died since returning home from Active Service at one of the many Remembrance Day services across Clarington.
To help us honour those who served, road closures will be in effect during services in Bowmanville and Newcastle.

In honour of Indigenous Veterans Day, Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster has issued the following statement.
“Today, we remember the thousands of First Nations, Inuit and Metis veterans who served in Canada’s military. They protected our nation with courage and resilience, yet were excluded from Remembrance Day observances at the National War Memorial until 1995. Despite their service, many Indigenous veterans faced systemic discrimination and injustice – both during and after their time in uniform....

Together with our local Royal Canadian Legion Branch 178, we will mark Remembrance Day in Veterans' Square at Town Hall (40 Temperance Street, Bowmanville).
