The Municipality of Clarington plans to designate the property at 4-10 King Avenue East, Newcastle, for its architectural and historical value under the Ontario Heritage Act.

“Happy Kwanzaa! For those celebrating, today marks the beginning of a week-long celebration of Black culture, community and family. Over the next seven days, loved ones will gather to light the Kinara, share stories and honour traditions that reflect resilience and heritage.
