Clarington is getting spruced up with forestry work

Crews will be pruning trees in residential areas across Clarington to help keep our neighbourhoods beautiful, our community safe, and our trees healthy. In the coming weeks, crews will be conducting block pruning, which may cause minor disruptions for pedestrian traffic.

Block pruning is a beneficial and important practice that promotes safe tree structure while improving the overall health of our trees. This work will involve:

Removing dead, diseased, broken or dangerous branches
Pruning for clearance over roadways, public walkways and driveways
Trimming branches that come into contact with homes and other structures during normal weather conditions
