Clarington, Ontario – Grab your racket and call up your crew: the newly upgraded tennis courts at Solina Park are officially open! Located at 1964 Concession Road 6, the upgrades were made possible in part by a $20,000 grant from Hydro One, whose support is helping communities like Clarington invest in safe, accessible and inclusive spaces for recreation.
Residents can now take in the crisp autumn air and enjoy a match on the refreshed courts, which feature:
“The Solina Park courts are open again and looking better than ever. If you’re a sports fan, you’ll want to check out all the new upgrades, with sleek new surfaces and a spot to shoot hoops. We’re serving up more fun for everyone in our community, with the help of our partners at Hydro One,” said Clarington Adrian Mayor Foster.

“There's historic growth in demand for electricity in Ontario, and as we continue to build the system, we will also invest in spaces that keep communities active, connected and energized. These are places where we work and live, and we know an investment here at home is an investment in local jobs and businesses. We look forward to our continued work with the Municipality of Clarington and seeing these courts bring people together for years to come,” said Bonnie Hiltz, Vice President, Government and Stakeholder Relations, Hydro One.
The Municipality of Clarington is actively pursuing valuable external funding opportunities, reducing dependency on the property tax base while supporting the delivery of meaningful municipal services. The investment in Solina Park’s tennis courts ensures that this vibrant community space will continue to serve residents now and into the future.
Ready for play! The refreshed Solina Park tennis courts feature new asphalt court surfacing with an acrylic playing surface, upgraded fencing and netting and a shared basketball area with two half courts.
