What’s open and closed this holiday season

As we head into the holidays, our hours of operation will be adjusted. We wish all residents of Clarington very happy holidays with their friends and family, filled with warmth, joy, and togetherness.

Municipal Administrative Centre (Town Hall)

Clarington's Municipal Administrative Centre (Town Hall) will be closed from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at noon to Thursday, January 1, 2026.

The building will reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.

Please note:  While our offices will be closed over the holidays, Municipal Law Enforcement Officers and Public Works staff will remain on duty to monitor complaints and respond to urgent service requests and complaints.

If you have a concern that requires immediate attention, our team will do their best to assist during scheduled hours. Non-urgent matters will be assessed on Friday, January 2, 2026. For after-hours emergencies, please call 905-433-1234.

Looking for some holiday fun? Stop by one of our outdoor rinks

Outdoor refrigerated skating rinks are open daily, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. (weather permitting) at Courtice Community Complex and Diane Hamre Recreation Complex.

Recreation Facilities & Fitness Centre

All recreation facilities and the Courtice Fitness Training Centre will be closed on the following days:

• Wednesday, December 24, 2025: Closes at noon
• Thursday, December 25, 2025: Closed full day
• Friday, December 26, 2025: Closed full day
• Wednesday, December 31, 2025: Closes at noon
• Thursday, January 1, 2026: Closed full day
