Update: Saturday, February 22, 2025, 10 a.m. – Thanks to the tireless efforts of our dedicated Public Works team and improved weather conditions, the Municipality of Clarington has declared an end to the Significant Weather Event.
Our crews worked hard over the past week to plow through heavy snowfall accumulation and restore our roads, sidewalks and trails to meet the minimum maintenance standards. While the Significant Weather Event has been lifted, this does not mean our crews aren’t still...

The Municipality of Clarington is pleased to once again offer the Trees for Rural Roads program for 2025! Applications are now being accepted until March 31, 2025.
Each spring, trees are offered free of charge to rural residents to be planted by the landowner on their private property adjacent to municipal roadways. Participants have their choice of selection of native tree species and must adhere to a set of program guidelines, available at www.clarington.net/TreesForRuralRoads.
