Clarington, Ontario – The Municipality of Clarington is pleased to announce the reopening of Orono Arena following extensive renovations inside the building. The Orono Library has been designated under Part IV of the Ontario Heritage Act, solidifying its place as an integral part of the community’s history.
Located at 127 Church Street North, the property was built in 1882 and features an Italianate architectural style. In 2022, the Clarington Heritage Committee evaluated and recommended its designation due to the building’s cultural heritage value.
