Clarington unveils new designs for South Bowmanville Recreation Centre, approves indoor pool

Clarington, Ontario – With shovels set to hit the ground in spring of 2025, Clarington’s new South Bowmanville Recreation Centre design plans are underway. On September 23, Clarington Council also approved the addition of an indoor aquatics facility to the site.

Residents celebrate new ways to move and play at South Courtice Arena

Clarington, Ontario – On September 21, hundreds of residents joined Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster and members of Council to celebrate the launch of all-new outdoor amenities at South Courtice Arena.

New play structures, swings and other amenities have been installed or replaced at four parks in Bowmanville and Solina, including:

Clarington announces new Deputy CAO of Planning and Infrastructure

The Municipality of Clarington is pleased to announce Darryl Lyons as its new Deputy CAO of Planning and Infrastructure, effective October 7.

Lyons is a professional planner with more than 24 years of experience. He joins Clarington from the City of Markham, where he was the Deputy Director of Planning and Urban Design. Whirlpool at Diane Hamre Recreation Complex closed for maintenance on September 13

The whirlpool at Diane Hamre Recreation Complex will be closed for maintenance on September 13, 2024.

The sauna, main pool and tot pool remain open for drop-in times and scheduled activities. The whirlpools at Courtice Community Complex and Alan Strike Aquatic and Squash Centre remain open as regularly scheduled.
