Whitby, Ontario – The Regional Municipality of Durham would like to remind residents that harvest season is coming soon. Drivers may experience temporary delays on rural roads due to slow moving farm machinery. Motorists are asked to be patient and cautious when sharing the road with these vehicles.
When: Harvest season starts in the fall and will continue until the ground is frozen.

Program registration begins Wednesday, September 7 at 7 a.m. for residents and Wednesday, September 14 at 7 a.m. for non-residents. Fall programs begin the week of Saturday, September 24.

Residents will not be able to leave their water samples for testing or pick up water sample testing kits at Garnet. B. Rickard Recreation Complex from Friday, September 2, until Tuesday, September 6, 2022, when all regular services will resume at 10 a.m.

Update: The splash pad and washrooms are open.
The washrooms and splash pad at Port Darlington East Beach Park are closed for repair due to a burst pipe. The closure is expected to last a few hours. We apologize for the inconvenience.
