Boyle Excavating clears Bowmanville’s fish ladder for a second time

Clarington January 22, 2020/- The Municipality of Clarington would like to thank community partner Boyle Excavating for clearing debris and silt gathered at the fish ladder.

“This is the second time that Boyle Excavating has stepped up and brought specialized heavy equipment to assist Clarington and Valleys 2000 in clearing the Bowmanville fishway. They truly are a great community partner. On behalf of our community, I want to thank them for their stewardship,” said Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster.

Road Closure: Lakeview Road, at the west intersection of Sunset Boulevard, Newcastle

The Regional Municipality of Durham will be starting construction work at the west intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Lakeview Road. Work includes the construction of a tunnel shaft that will allow for the tunnelling for the proposed sanitary sewer running west along Sunset Boulevard.

Construction Schedule

Diane Hamre Recreation Complex whirlpool closed Wednesday, January 8, 2020

The whirlpool at Diane Hamre Recreation Complex will be closed all day on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, and will reopen Thursday, January 9, 2020, for regular hours. 

The whirlpools at Courtice Community Complex and Alan Strike Aquatic and Squash Centre will remain open during this time.
