Council to consider Recommendation Report on Southeast Courtice Secondary Plan

After extensive public input and feedback from the Statutory Public meeting in June 2020, Clarington Council will consider a Recommendation Report regarding the Southeast Courtice Secondary Plan at the upcoming Planning and Development Committee Meeting on Monday, December 7, at 7 p.m.

A copy of the Recommendation Report will be available on Thursday, December 3, 2020, at or by contacting Lisa Backus at 905-623-3379 ext. 2413.

As part of Envision Durham, the Region of Durham has released Proposed Policy Directions pertaining to Major Transit Station Areas (MTSAs).

Clarington requesting feedback on proposed Old Scugog Road Reconstruction

The Municipality of Clarington is planning to reconstruct Old Scugog Road from Edmonson Avenue to Highway 407 in Hampton in the summer of 2021 (pending budget approval). The existing road is in poor condition due to an absence of adequate drainage and needs to be repaired for public safety.

The Municipality is requesting feedback from residents by Friday, January 8, 2021, on the proposed work, which includes:

Clarington, Ontario – The Municipality of Clarington is launching a new Community Electric Vehicle (EV) report, developed in partnership with Trent University – Durham Campus.
