If you plan to erect a sign in Clarington, you need a mobile sign permit for both permanent and temporary signs.

On-Street Parking Permits

Apply for an on-street parking permit or a permit to park in a municipal parking lot.

Pool Enclosure Permits

Before construction or excavation of an in-ground or above-ground swimming pool, you must have a permit.

Refreshment Vehicle Permit

You must have a permit to operate your refreshment cart, special event, or mobile or stationary refreshment vehicle.

Road Entrance (Access) Permits

You must apply for a road entrance (access) permit if you want to cut a curb or install or replace a culvert.

Road Occupancy Permits

All contractors, utilities and individuals who temporarily occupy our roadway must have a road occupancy permit.

Site Alteration Permits

To place or dump fill or topsoil, remove soil or alter the grade of your property, you must have a site alteration permit.

Auctioneer Licence

A person who sells items through a public auction must have an auctioneer licence.

Kennel Licence

To operate an animal kennel in Clarington, you must have a kennel licence.

Lottery Licence

You need a lottery licence to run raffles, 50/50 draws, bazaars, bingo games, and more.

Marriage Licence

Complete your marriage licence application online within 90 days of your upcoming wedding.

Peddler Licence

To peddle goods, wares or merchandise in Clarington, you must apply for a peddler licence.

Pet licence

If you own a pet in Clarington, you are required to license them each year.

Vehicle-for-Hire Licence

To operate a taxicab, ride share, or limo, you need a licence.

Liquor Licence

Although Clarington does not issue liquor licences, Municipal approval is required as part of the application process.
