Call for vendors: Share your brand and your story at the Black Vendor Village

Come celebrate Black History Month!

This one-day market is taking place on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Garnet B. Rickard Recreation Complex, 2440 Highway 2, Bowmanville.

We’re looking for Clarington and Durham-based Black-owned businesses to promote their products and services in the event at no charge. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to showcase your business. In its first two years, Black Vendor Village has drawn wide participation from individuals and organizations across Durham Region and the Greater Toronto Area, reaching over 1,200 attendees.

Application process

  • The application period is now closed.
  • Applications will be reviewed by the planning committee to ensure that shoppers have access to a wide range of products and services. The panel will make determinations based on quality of work, geographic location and community impact.
  • Vendors will receive a notification on January 12 to inform them if they've been selected to participate.
  • Selected vendors will have until January 19 to confirm their attendance
