Clarington Mayor's statement on Yom Kippur

Clarington Mayor Adrian Foster has issued the following statement.

“As the sun sets tonight, the Jewish holy day of Yom Kippur begins. For many in our community, it is a solemn holiday spent in fasting, prayer and introspection.

For all those gathering for religious services in synagogue, may you find goodness, peace, and harmony in the year ahead. On behalf of Clarington Council, I wish everyone observing Yom Kippur a blessed day. Shana Tova.”
