Construction near Town Hall may cause brief delays February 9 to 12

Construction around Town Hall (40 Temperance Street, Bowmanville) may cause brief delays for vehicles and pedestrians from Monday, February 9, to Thursday, February 12, 2026. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule, causing delays.

The work will take place at multiple sites, and traffic and pedestrian controls will be in place to help residents navigate the area safely.

Here’s what you need to know:

• Work will take place near the intersections of Wellington Street and Temperance Street and Church Street and Temperance Street.
• Access to road crossings, sidewalks and the accessible entrance to Town Hall will not be disrupted.
• Two accessible parking spaces on Church Street will be blocked. Accessible parking spots will be temporarily moved to Temperance Street in front of Town Hall. The existing parking meters will be offline during construction for accessible parking permit holders.
• At times, construction noise may be heard while crews are digging and accessing underground utilities.
